CSL Orientation

Community Service Learning, more commonly referred to as CSL, is a compulsory course taken up by every final year student at NUST. This course aims to inculcate, within the students, the ability to do more as a human being and to give back to the community. An orientation session, to familiarize the students, was held on the 18th of February 2015, from 2 to 3:30 in the afternoon at the NIT auditorium. The speaker, Dr. Irtiza, addressed a full hall to the importance of helping the community through fulfilling their needs. He then gave a brief overview of the course details. The first week was reserved for orientation and inspiration after which, community project management, disaster reponse, first-aid & fire-fighting and many similar workshops, would entail. He discussed about the division of CSL in two categories i.e. Seminars and Field Work .The session was brought to an end after the course work and assignments had been discussed thoroughly with the students following a general Q&A round.
